Another productive time in Cornwall allowed me to produce a new series of paintings focusing on the relationship between the sky and sea - The Tidal Pull series.

I painted this towards the end of the day when the tide was on the turn at Botallack on the north coast of Cornwall. There was a bit of a swell which created some water activity on the rocks below the headland where I was working. This was welcome after the hours of stillness and calm, which I always find difficult to capture - I like to get my teeth into some energetic and gestural brushstrokes on the canvas!

Acrylic paint on 60 x 60cm box canvas displayed within a white wood float tray frame.

£595
