A fabulous and productive time in Cornwall during September/October 2022 produced a new series of paintings focusing on the relationship between the sky and sea - The Tidal Pull series.

I moved along the coast from Cape Cornwall to Botallack for this painting as I wanted uninterrupted views of the sea and sky. I managed to find a brilliant spot on the headland tucked away and off the coastal path, and more importantly out of the wind. Surprisingly the sea was so calm and still. There was so little movement on the water I knew that would present challenges for me as I tend to enjoy the energy of movement. I had to rein myself in for this one!
